Senior Substation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Substation Engineer to lead the engineering, design and technical execution of high‑voltage substation projects for utility clients in Ho Chi Minh. The role covers both greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring designs meet utility standards and industry codes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead physical design, protection and control coordination, and equipment specification for high‑voltage substations.
• Prepare complete substation design packages, including layout, grounding, bus arrangements and station service.
• Conduct technical reviews, support construction activities and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve design issues and optimise project delivery.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (power systems emphasis preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in substation engineering, utility power delivery or high‑voltage infrastructure design.
• Proven experience developing substation physical design packages for utility clients.
• Strong knowledge of substation equipment, clearances, grounding, bus configurations and control buildings.
