Service Engineer – Joining Solutions (Drive & Control)

About the role

We are looking for a Service Engineer to join our Joining Solutions team within the Drive & Control Division. The role focuses on providing technical consultancy and on‑site support for automotive joining projects, ensuring customers receive reliable solutions and expert assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical consultancy for joining solutions projects in the automotive industry, including solution proposals and product selection.
• Perform on‑site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of tightening and welding equipment.
• Deliver technical training and after‑sales support to customers.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical repair and testing of components and sub‑assemblies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation, field service, maintenance or equipment repair.
• Strong communication skills in English and a positive, self‑motivated attitude.
• Willingness to travel domestically and work outside normal business hours when required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics and ESD handling.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD tools.
• Experience with IEC 61131‑3 programming, industrial communication protocols and database systems.
• Familiarity with tightening and welding systems used in automotive assembly (advantage).
