Technical Adviser – Market Based Programming (Vietnamese only)

About the role

The Technical Adviser – Market Based Programming provides strategic and technical guidance to strengthen inclusive, market‑based and livelihood approaches across Save the Children in Vietnam. The role supports the Country Strategic Plan and adapts to evolving contexts such as climate change, digital transformation, and donor priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical guidance on market‑based programming to reduce child poverty and enhance livelihood resilience.
• Integrate market‑based approaches across thematic sectors including education, health, child protection, child rights governance, and climate resilience.
• Collaborate closely with Technical Advisors, the Program Development team, and Project Managers to ensure alignment with the Country Strategic Plan.
• Develop high‑quality proposals to mobilise approximately USD 5 million annually from diverse funding sources.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of market‑based interventions and adjust strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Fluent in Vietnamese (Vietnamese‑only position).
• Experience in market‑based programming and development interventions.
• Strong understanding of child poverty reduction and livelihood resilience concepts.
