Web3 Security Engineer

About the role

The Web3 Security Engineer is responsible for securing smart contracts created by the engineering team. Embedded with engineers, you will drive security best practices, perform threat modeling, run scanning tools, audit code, and ensure safe deployment of contracts. You will also leverage AI tools to enhance and automate security workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal and external security assessments, including threat modeling, tabletop exercises, and code reviews to hunt for vulnerabilities.
• Ensure smart contracts emit sufficient events and continuously monitor them using blockchain monitoring platforms.
• Maintain and update incident‑response runbooks, and participate in handling smart‑contract security incidents.
• Identify and evaluate new security technologies and tooling to continuously improve security posture.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to spot security gaps in smart‑contract architecture and drive remediation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience with audited smart contracts.
• Strong knowledge of Solidity and hands‑on expertise in blockchain and smart‑contract security.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Bias for action, strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities, and a passion for learning.
