Embedded Software Project Manager – Automotive (Airbag)

About the role

The Embedded Software Project Manager will lead automotive embedded software projects for Chinese OEM customers in the airbag domain. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will own delivery of software work packages, ensuring quality, cost, schedule and stakeholder alignment across global and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define software development strategy.
• Manage software requirements from analysis through acceptance.
• Plan, schedule and ensure delivery of software work packages.
• Control software costs against the project budget.
• Guarantee software quality and compliance with development processes.
• Report project status, identify barriers and drive escalation when needed.
• Analyse requirements based on verification results and provide regular status updates to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• 3+ years of software project management or technical project leadership.
• Experience with automotive embedded software projects, preferably in the airbag domain.
• Experience working with Chinese OEM customers is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Understanding of the embedded software development lifecycle.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety concepts.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR, ASPICE, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with ECU software development.
