Preventive Maintenance Planning Intern

About the role

The Maintenance Intern will support Bosch’s Maintenance Department in planning, programming and improving maintenance scheduling activities within the high‑tech manufacturing plant. You will assist with preventive maintenance planning, keep maintenance data up‑to‑date, contribute to system improvements and gain hands‑on experience with maintenance processes in a production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update and optimise daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
• Support preventive maintenance planning and follow‑up on work orders.
• Use programming skills to automate simple tasks such as data processing, report generation or alerts.
• Maintain maintenance databases, equipment history and spare‑parts information.
• Assist technicians during troubleshooting or routine maintenance activities.
• Analyse equipment downtime and suggest improvements to reduce recurring issues.
• Prepare maintenance reports, KPIs and related documentation.
• Participate in improvement initiatives like 5S, TPM and digitalisation projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance concepts (preventive, corrective, troubleshooting).
• Analytical, team‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Programming: Python, VBA, SQL or similar automation scripts.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with maintenance software such as SAP PM or CMMS.
