Senior Fullstack Engineer (Tech Lead)

About the role

A lean team is building a next-generation commerce platform combining social sharing, digital payments and AI-driven engagement. It is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to take a Tech Lead seat: owning architecture decisions, driving delivery and mentoring a small team toward a focused MVP launch.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture across backend services and frontend interfaces
• Build core platform modules: digital wallet flows, commission and referral logic, ecommerce engine, QR-based interactions, voucher and campaign systems
• Integrate AI features such as recommendation logic, scoring models and intelligent alerts for users and merchants
• Lead the technical team: task breakdown, PR reviews, unblocking, quality and timeline accountability
• Communicate directly with product stakeholders, without a product manager in between

Required profile

• 4+ years of fullstack experience, comfortable on both sides
• Experience leading a team before
• Strong English, written and spoken
• Nice to have: fintech, social commerce or loyalty/rewards background; KYC, AML and audit logging exposure; experience shipping products across Southeast Asia

Required skills

• Backend: Node.js / NestJS or equivalent, REST API design, transactional data integrity
• Frontend: React / Next.js, clean component architecture
• Financial or payment flows: wallets, settlements, refunds, payouts
• Multi-tenant or multi-site platforms, attribution and deep-link tracking
• LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or similar), recommendation systems, agent logic or behavioral scoring
