Senior Telematics Software Engineer – Joining Bonus

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Telematics Software Engineer to develop and deliver connected‑vehicle software for both commercial/off‑highway and passenger‑car platforms. You will own features on the Telematics Control Unit from data acquisition to cloud connectivity, and work with global OEM customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain embedded telematics software on TCU platforms (Embedded Linux / RTOS) for commercial and passenger‑car programs.
• Develop vehicle‑network interfaces such as CAN, CAN‑FD, J1939, ISOBUS, UDS, DoIP and integrate 4G/5G modems, GNSS and cloud protocols (MQTT, HTTPS) using AWS IoT or Azure IoT.
• Build OTA (FOTA/SOTA) update mechanisms, remote diagnostics and fleet‑management services while ensuring compliance with eCall, tachograph and emissions regulations.
• Apply automotive cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155/R156) and functional safety (ISO 26262) practices, and support SOP milestones and field issue resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers, enforce code quality through reviews, CI/CD pipelines and static analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of embedded software development experience in automotive, telematics or IoT.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ (C++14+) and Python for tooling and test automation.
• Hands‑on experience with automotive tooling (Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, JTAG/Lauterbach), Git and CI/CD.
• Experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto/Buildroot) or RTOS on ARM platforms and with cellular connectivity, GNSS and cloud communication.
