Account Executive – Accounts Payable

About the role

The Account Executive – Accounts Payable will manage all AP transactions for Buymed, ensuring invoices are verified, correctly coded, and paid on schedule. You will collaborate with operations, warehouses, and suppliers to resolve issues and support accurate month‑end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Verify invoices against purchase orders, goods received notes, contracts and other supporting documents.
• Coordinate with operations to resolve unsettled issues and implement improvement solutions.
• Follow up on missing or incomplete documentation with relevant departments.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment, including correct account codes, cost centres and tax application.
• Prepare adjustments, accruals and post all expenses in the accounting system.
• Monitor vendor contracts, payment schedules and maintain the AP ledger, ageing report and supplier balances.
• Assist with fixed‑asset listings, cash‑advance verification and monthly stock/inventory accounting schedules.
• Reconcile inventory balances between accounting system, warehouse records and BI reports.
• Prepare monthly tax declarations on purchases and withholding tax.
• Meet tight month‑end closing deadlines and support audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in AP, inventory accounting or FMCG/pharma environments.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
• Knowledge of VAT and Cambodian tax regulations.
• Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliation.
