ADAS Vehicle Motion Engineer – Real‑time Automotive Software

About the role

The ADAS Vehicle Motion Engineer will design and maintain real‑time automotive software that enables lateral and longitudinal control for driver assistance and active safety functions. You will work within Bosch Global Software Technologies to translate customer and system requirements into robust vehicle motion features.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and decompose ADAS vehicle motion requirements, covering both lateral and longitudinal control.
• Design, implement, and maintain real‑time software for motion control, driver assistance and active safety.
• Collaborate with system, software, testing, calibration and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery.
• Develop and support verification activities such as unit testing, simulation‑based testing, SIL/HIL validation, debugging and defect analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives to uphold software quality.
• Provide effort estimates, technical input and risk feedback for project planning and release preparation.
• Ensure compliance with automotive development processes, coding standards, ASPICE and functional safety practices.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, sensors and driver‑assistance functions, especially lateral/longitudinal motion control.
• Proficient C++ programming with solid knowledge of the software development life‑cycle, requirements engineering, debugging and code‑quality practices.
• Experience with unit testing, test methodologies, gTest, defect analysis and issue resolution.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub/Bitbucket, Visual Studio Code and configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of automotive standards such as ASPICE and functional safety processes.
