Chemical Engineering Manager

About the role

The Chemical Engineering Manager will lead the development and optimisation of bonding processes for athletic footwear, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions that meet performance and manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise Bonding Process Flow Charts (BPFC) by evaluating material components and selecting the most efficient, practical, and cost‑effective bonding methods.
• Lead the identification, evaluation and commercialisation of new chemical suppliers, adhesives and bonding technologies, collaborating closely with R&D and production teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in polymer development and chemical applications within the footwear industry.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent education/experience).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical engineering, polymer development or chemical applications in the footwear sector.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role overseeing engineering teams.
• Extensive knowledge of athletic footwear product creation and manufacturing processes.
