Chief Accountant – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting, tax and financial compliance functions for a growing company in Hanoi. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls and provide strategic financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month‑end close.
• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and local tax regulations.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Manage import‑export accounting, customs documentation and related tax matters.
• Develop and maintain effective internal control procedures.
• Support senior management in budgeting, forecasting and financial decision‑making.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Chief Accountant certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a chief accountant or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of VAS, Vietnamese tax law and statutory compliance.
• Experience handling import‑export accounting and customs matters.
