Customs Staff – Import/Export Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced customs and logistics professional to manage import‑export activities in compliance with Vietnamese customs regulations. The role supports timely clearance, cost‑efficient logistics and coordination between ports, the shipyard and various internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Check shipping documents for completeness and accuracy before customs declaration.
• Monitor import shipment status, prioritize clearance to avoid delays and extra costs.
• Prepare Vietnamese goods descriptions, determine HS codes and compile customs dossiers for various regimes.
• Submit import and export declarations via the ECUS system and process related transactions in SAP.
• Arrange delivery of customs‑cleared goods to the warehouse and coordinate export bookings with forwarders.
• Review monthly inventory transactions, support reconciliation for customs finalisation reporting.
• Collaborate with warehouse, suppliers and customs authorities on scrap handling and record alignment.
• Identify compliance risks, maintain accurate records and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, International Trade, Customs, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• At least five years of experience in logistics or customs operations within manufacturing, freight forwarding or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese customs regulations, import‑export procedures, HS‑code classification and Incoterms.
