Deputy Manager - Sales, PU Footwear, Performance Materials

About the role

BASF Vietnam is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead sales of polyurethane (PU) footwear solutions within its Performance Materials portfolio. The role focuses on expanding the PU business by identifying new projects, securing approvals, and building strong relationships with key shoe manufacturers operating in Vietnam.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Vietnam team to scout and develop new PU footwear projects, especially with Taiwanese, Korean and Chinese transplants.
• Create and execute account engagement plans to grow business with existing and prospective shoe factories.
• Monitor market trends and customer sustainability goals, promoting PU and recycled PU materials.
• Drive top‑down initiatives from customer headquarters, such as BMB PU projects.
• Own PU business KPIs and targets for the Vietnamese market.
• Coordinate closely with regional and global PU key account teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales or key account management within the footwear or polymer industry.
• Strong understanding of polyurethane materials and sustainability trends in footwear.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with local and international teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of polyurethane (PU) materials for footwear.
• Familiarity with sustainable and recycled PU solutions.
