Embedded Software Engineer – Hardware‑related Software

About the role

Join Bosch Global Software Technologies in Ho Chi Minh City as an Embedded Software Engineer focused on hardware‑related software for safety‑critical automotive ECUs. You will act as a technical expert, shaping the design, development, and integration of hardware‑software (HSW) components for brake, steering and other critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse system and software requirements and define HSW solutions for complex automotive embedded platforms.
• Lead the design, development, integration and optimisation of HSW components and configurations for brake, steering and safety‑critical ECU families.
• Own hardware configuration strategy, software adaptation and variant management across multiple projects to ensure scalability and reusability.
• Perform datasheet analysis and schematic review to understand hardware behaviour and define appropriate software settings.
• Lead hardware‑software debugging, root‑cause analysis and resolution of critical issues, providing guidance to engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and ASPICE processes throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong background in automotive embedded systems, particularly safety‑critical ECUs.
• Proven experience in hardware‑software integration, configuration management and variant handling.
• Ability to analyse datasheets, schematics and perform detailed hardware behaviour studies.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and experience leading technical debugging sessions.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and ASPICE quality processes.
