Embedded Software Engineer – Linux & Android (1‑Year Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join Bosch’s Cross‑Domain Computing & ADAS team in Ho Chi Minh City. The role focuses on developing low‑level Linux and Android Automotive OS software for automotive head‑units and smart‑home appliances on a one‑year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and maintain kernel‑level components and Hardware Abstraction Layers (HALs) for Linux and Android Automotive OS.
• Adapt and enhance bootloaders such as U‑Boot and perform board bring‑up and hardware validation.
• Debug kernel and driver issues, and assist in identifying and mitigating software security vulnerabilities.
• Analyse and optimise system performance, with emphasis on boot time and overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless platform integration and delivery.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel architecture and Android Automotive OS.
• Hands‑on experience with bootloader development and board bring‑up.
• Ability to work independently and within a multicultural, distributed team.
