Embedded Software Test Engineer – 4+ yrs experience + joining bonus

About the role

Join Bosch Global Software Technologies in Ho Chi Minh City as an Embedded Software Test Engineer focusing on safety systems such as ABS, ESP and iBooster. The role offers a Q4 joining bonus equivalent to one month’s gross salary for eligible candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Run test cases and regression tests, analyze and report defects.
• Clarify open points and design/develop test cases based on requirements.
• Set up test environments including SIL (Software‑in‑Loop) and HIL (Hardware‑in‑Loop).
• Coordinate team activities and handle day‑to‑day work independently.
• Develop and run automation scripts.
• Configure and maintain LabCar test‑bench hardware and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, wiring, communication and integration issues on LabCar/HIL systems.
• Support debugging activities involving ECU connections, CAN/LIN/Ethernet communication, measurement devices and test‑automation infrastructure.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Electrical‑Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software testing.
• Strong knowledge of the software life‑cycle.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (C/C++, Python, VBA or Perl).
• Basic knowledge of micro‑controllers and embedded systems.
• Hands‑on understanding of electronic hardware, circuit fundamentals, sensors, actuators and automotive ECU architecture.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, hardware schematics, pinouts and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet).
• Experience diagnosing hardware issues using oscilloscopes, CAN analyzers, multimeters and logic analyzers.
• Good English communication skills.
