Expert for High‑Performance SoC BSP Integration (POSIX Kernel & Drivers)

About the role

We are seeking a senior embedded software expert to lead the integration, development and optimisation of critical software components for high‑performance System‑on‑Chip (SoC) platforms. The role focuses on POSIX‑based operating systems such as QNX and Linux, and involves designing drivers and kernel modules that meet Bosch’s stringent automotive and industrial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop advanced software modules and drivers for POSIX operating systems (e.g., QNX).
• Design and implement robust Linux kernel modules.
• Port existing Linux drivers (kernel and user‑space) to target Linux distributions.
• Create and maintain multi‑layer Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for embedded builds.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to optimise memory hierarchies, PCIe and other high‑speed interfaces.
• Provide debugging support using tools such as GDB and Lauterbach.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded software development, BSP, kernel and driver development.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Hands‑on experience with ARM Cortex‑A processors and bootloaders (U‑Boot preferred).
• In‑depth knowledge of Linux kernel, device driver development and POSIX environments (QNX).
• Familiarity with high‑performance SoC architectures, memory hierarchies and PCIe interfaces.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
