Maintenance Supervisor (Mechanical & Structural)

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will plan and coordinate manpower and resources to execute preventive maintenance (PM) and work orders (WO) for ship‑to‑shore (STS) cranes and associated cargo‑handling equipment. The role involves direct inspection, analysis and troubleshooting of complex mechanical and hydraulic faults to keep all equipment operating at optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for STS cranes, spreaders, grab buckets, lifting beams and hoppers.
• Execute and supervise work orders, ensuring timely completion and compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic failures on heavy port cranes (STS, RTG) and related handling equipment.
• Coordinate with the technical team to read and interpret technical documents, schematics and maintenance manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports on equipment performance.

Required profile

• University or college degree in Mechanical‑Hydraulic Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy port cranes and cargo‑handling equipment.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and power‑train systems used in maritime terminals.
• Proven ability to lead a maintenance team and coordinate resources effectively.
