Plastic Toy Product Development

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of plastic toy products for Jazwares in Hanoi. The role combines product design, tooling optimisation and project coordination to bring new toys from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with regional and global internal customers and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Assess vendor quotations, provide cost‑feature trade‑off guidance and optimise tooling designs.
• Supervise model makers on‑site to create engineering prototypes.
• Develop mechanical design solutions and evaluate pilot samples, issuing modification directives.
• Ensure production output meets technical targets and oversee the development plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project‑management experience in the toy industry.
• Strong knowledge of toy structural and mechanism design, material selection and manufacturing processes.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluent spoken and written English.
