About the role

VARD, a global leader in specialized vessel design and shipbuilding, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Ho Chi Minh City facility. The role focuses on marine equipment such as gangways, launch and recovery systems (LARS), cranes and winches, supporting both design and production activities.

Key responsibilities

Provide technical expertise for the design, installation and maintenance of marine equipment.
Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver engineering solutions on schedule.
Support documentation and reporting for engineering activities.

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in shipbuilding or marine environments.
CSWIP 3.1 certification or equivalent (FROSIO, BGAS, NACE) is an advantage.
Hands‑on experience with gangways, LARS, cranes and winches is preferred.
