Senior Backend Engineer (NodeJS)

About the role

We are building a scalable loyalty and fintech ecosystem that connects millions of users across Southeast Asia. As a Senior Backend Engineer (NodeJS) you will be responsible for end‑to‑end development and ownership of backend services, ensuring high reliability and code quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑traffic backend services using Node.js.
• Own modules from conception to production, including deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Implement and optimise RESTful APIs and asynchronous processing pipelines.
• Work with event‑driven architectures and message‑queue systems to enable scalable data flows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system performance, reliability and security.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on production experience with Node.js.
• Proven experience building services for high‑traffic applications.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, asynchronous processing and performance optimisation.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures or message‑queue technologies.
