Senior Medical Science Liaison Specialist (CVRM, HCM)

About the role

AstraZeneca Vietnam is hiring a Senior Medical Science Liaison Specialist for the Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism (CVRM) therapeutic area in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a field-based position focused on establishing scientific leadership for AstraZeneca, building professional relationships with healthcare professionals and delivering medical education and clinical support.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KEEs) about 65% of available time, build a KEE database and recommend members for advisory boards
• Prepare and deliver KEE visits with clear objectives, key discussion points and data to share, and respond to unsolicited requests about unapproved products or uses in a balanced, evidence-based way
• Build trust-based relationships with external stakeholders such as patient advocacy groups, medical organisations and hospital pharmacies, and support CME events and medical sponsorships
• Develop or initiate scientific programs exploring unmet medical needs, including identifying speakers, running round tables and discussing clinical trial feasibility
• Support internal stakeholders by keeping up to date on the therapeutic area and compounds, giving updates on HCP partnerships and contributing to Medical and Brand plans
• Deliver training to AZ staff on current and emerging clinical data and trends, and contribute to formulary listing discussions

• Ability to present scientific information clearly and objectively, with good meeting and presentation skills
• Willingness to attend scientific congresses and HCP meetings and to take part in coaching and feedback
