Senior Process Engineer – Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)

About the role

Bosch is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the operation, optimisation and continuous improvement of Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems on its production line. The role will drive AI‑based enhancements, digital transformation and Smart Factory initiatives to boost inspection quality and reduce slip‑through errors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage AOI system parameters, machine settings, work instructions, FMEA, control and reaction plans, and related production documentation.
• Optimize reject rates and acceptance standards to lower production costs.
• Collaborate with IT on machine and equipment security and integrate digital solutions.
• Develop AI models for AOI and implement Industry 4.0 concepts for the assembly process.
• Design automation and traceability technologies to increase productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance OEE, and apply structured problem‑solving methods (NC, 8D, Shainin) to secure product quality.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, IT Data Science or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical thinking and proactive learning attitude.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead projects independently.
