Area Development Program Finance Officer

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Finance Officer to support the Area Development Program (ADP) in Vietnam. The role ensures financial compliance, accurate reporting and effective budget management while supporting project implementation in vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial and administrative support to the ADP, ensuring fraud‑risk awareness and compliance with World Vision policies, donor requirements and local regulations.
• Prepare and review vouchers, cash advances, employee expense reports and payment requests using the Voucher Interface.
• Monitor financial transactions, maintain up‑to‑date project records and conduct regular field visits to verify accuracy and transparency.
• Conduct random checks on quotations, goods and services and support cost‑efficiency measures.
• Assist the ADP/Project Manager in budget planning, development and monthly financial reporting.
• Support capacity‑building for staff and partners on World Vision financial procedures and help resolve audit findings.
• Provide feedback to the Finance Manager and ADP Manager to improve financial management systems.

Required profile

• Experience in financial management and compliance within development or humanitarian projects.
• Familiarity with donor compliance requirements and local financial regulations.
• Ability to work closely with project teams, community groups and partners.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
