Embedded Software Test Engineer (Safety Systems)

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join Bosch’s Safety Systems team in Ho Chi Minh City. You will be responsible for testing safety‑critical automotive software such as ABS, ESP and iBooster, ensuring high quality and compliance with functional safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute test cases and regression suites on safety system software.
• Analyse defects, report them and follow up on resolutions.
• Design and develop test cases from requirements.
• Set up and maintain SIL (Software‑in‑Loop) and HIL (Hardware‑in‑Loop) test environments.
• Develop and run automation scripts for test execution.
• Configure and maintain LabCar test bench hardware and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, wiring, and communication issues on LabCar/HIL systems.
• Support debugging activities involving ECU connections, CAN/LIN/Ethernet communication and measurement devices.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical‑Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive or related field.
• At least 0.5 years of experience in software testing.
• Understanding of the software life‑cycle.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documentation.

Required skills

• Programming in C, C++ or Python (also VBA, Perl, API programming).
• Basic knowledge of micro‑controllers and embedded systems.
• Hands‑on experience with electronic hardware, sensors, actuators and automotive ECU architecture.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet.
• Experience with SIL, HIL and test automation tools.
