Faculty Assistant – Engineering & Economics Faculties

About the role

The Faculty Assistant supports the daily operations of two faculties – Engineering and Economics & Management – at VGU. You will act as the main point of contact for prospective and current students and their families, assisting with recruitment, academic inquiries, and examination processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist student recruitment activities and provide information to candidates and parents.
• Serve as the primary contact for student and parent inquiries related to study programmes.
• Support the examination office at VGU and its German partner universities, including exam scheduling and documentation.
• Manage academic support tasks, including handling the Moodle learning platform.
• Maintain office records, filing systems, and ensure compliance with retention policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in business administration, economics, social sciences, mathematics, engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• First work experience in academic affairs or higher‑education administration.
• Knowledge of office management principles, filing techniques and records retention policies.
