Heat Setting & Coating Process Technical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Heat Setting & Coating Process Technical Engineer to lead the design, optimisation and implementation of heat‑setting and coating operations for woven fabrics. The role combines technical expertise in textile engineering and polymer technology to deliver high‑quality finished products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise heat‑setting and coating processes, selecting appropriate formulations and auxiliaries based on fabric characteristics.
• Control and monitor critical process parameters (temperature, tension, line speed, coating weight) to ensure product consistency.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot integrated heat‑setting and coating machinery.
• Analyse process data, identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D, production and quality teams to develop new fabric finishes.
• Document process specifications, standard operating procedures and performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Textile Engineering, Polymer Materials or a related field.
• Extensive hands‑on experience in coating formulation design and auxiliary selection.
• Proven knowledge of heat‑setting equipment operation and maintenance.
• Strong data‑analysis skills with the ability to develop effective process solutions.
