Product Design Engineer, Launch (Global Team)

About the role

The Product Design Engineer, Launch will join Molex Vietnam's global NPD team to drive new product introductions from concept through factory transfer and ramp‑up. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost‑effective, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPI projects, coordinating design, tooling, and production launch activities.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to optimize product designs for high‑volume manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, GD&T specifications, and DOE plans.
• Support factory transfer, pilot runs, and ramp‑up phases, troubleshooting issues on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing engineers, and quality teams to resolve FACA/8D problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Product Design Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, NPI, or manufacturing engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with production launch, factory transfer, or ramp‑up projects.
• Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, GD&T, DOE, FACA/8D, and NPI processes.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
