Retail Manager, Food

About the role

The Retail Manager – Food leads the daily operations of the food department within Takashimaya Vietnam’s flagship store. You will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering an outstanding customer experience while managing brand relationships and merchandising execution.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of store operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory control, and staff scheduling.
• Drive sales performance and profit targets through effective merchandising, promotions, and upselling strategies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with food brands and suppliers to optimize product assortment.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate a team of sales associates and supervisors to achieve service excellence.
• Monitor store KPIs, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail, Food & Beverage or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of retail experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in a multinational, department‑store or food‑service environment is highly preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
