School Board Governance, Compliance & Safeguarding Officer

About the role

The School Board Governance, Compliance & Safeguarding Officer will lead the implementation of safeguarding policies and ensure the school meets international accreditation standards. This role reports to the Board and works closely with school safeguarding leads to protect children and maintain compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the school’s safeguarding strategy in line with CIS accreditation benchmarks.
• Conduct regular meetings with Safeguarding Leads to monitor activities and ensure alignment with board directives.
• Audit and report on compliance with legal obligations, safety standards, and child protection regulations.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for staff on safeguarding and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with senior management to integrate safeguarding into overall governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Education Management, English Language or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Advanced certification in Child Protection and School Safeguarding from CIS, ECIS or equivalent.
• Professional English proficiency (IELTS 8.0 or equivalent).
• Proven experience in education compliance, safety, or child safeguarding.
