Technical Service Manager - Poultry

About the role

Aviagen is looking for a Technical Service Manager based in Vietnam. The role provides unbranded home-country technical support, supervising chick deliveries and early farm life, supporting local industry and building long-term partnerships with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise inward chick deliveries through to the first 7 days of life on customer farms.
• Liaise with the assigned technical manager on urgent technical issues.
• Translate and review technical literature, and link with local industry associations.
• Gather local market intelligence and regularly accompany technical managers on regional visits.
• Assist with technical seminars and trade shows, and actively take part in industry organisations.
• Produce monthly technical and customer visit reports, and work with clients to set and monitor technical service objectives.
• Develop plans and deploy resources to improve product performance and meet customer needs.

Required profile

• Graduate with an agricultural or rural degree in poultry or animal science.
• At least 8 years of relevant operational management experience in the industry.
• Preferably both breeder (GP and/or PS) and broiler management experience.
• High-level written and spoken Vietnamese and English.
• Valid local driver's licence.

Required skills

• Sound understanding of hatchery practice, nutrition and health.
• Knowledge of poultry technology and best management practices in breeder and broiler production.
• Computer skills: spreadsheets, databases/CRM, report writing, presentations, economic modelling and production data analysis.
