Deputy Manager - Sales, Surface Treatment, Coatings

About the role

The Deputy Manager will lead sales of the surface treatment business unit under the Chemetall® brand in the northern territories of Vietnam. The role focuses on generating sustainable sales growth, acting as the single point of contact for segment management, and driving both new and existing technology adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and develop new business opportunities to ensure sustainable growth in the northern market.
• Prepare, negotiate, and conclude contracts while maintaining strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
• Coordinate product launches with business management and marketing teams.
• Provide training and technical know‑how to customers and distribution partners.
• Maintain sales opportunities, leads, and reports in the Salesforce CRM tool.
• Forecast demand accurately to support stock planning and reliable supply.
• Respond promptly to commercial, quality, and technical inquiries.
• Achieve net sales and profitability targets and implement pricing measures.
• Conduct market intelligence activities, analyze trends, and develop sales strategies.
• Offer technical consultancy on product applications, process optimisation, and troubleshooting.
• Initiate technical lab support or product reformulation requests via CURT workflows in Salesforce.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales management within the surface treatment, coatings or related industrial sector.
• Strong ability to manage relationships with senior decision‑makers.
• Experience negotiating and closing business contracts.
• Capability to coordinate product launches and deliver technical training.
• Proficiency in demand forecasting and supply chain coordination.
• Analytical mindset for market intelligence and strategy development.
