Director, Specialist Sales for Small and Medium Enterprises

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director to lead its Specialist Sales for Small and Medium Enterprises in Vietnam. Based in Hanoi, you will drive growth of small‑business debit and credit card portfolios, shape market strategy and partner ecosystems across Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs and startups.
• Provide deep sales expertise to partners, supporting their growth and adoption of Mastercard solutions.
• Drive strategy, sales, business development, analysis and reporting for small‑business card performance.
• Collaborate with regional product, marketing, finance, legal and customer delivery teams to launch products and go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Monitor competitive products and industry trends, recommending adjustments to the portfolio.
• Deliver consultative sales enablement during complex, cross‑departmental discussions.
• Champion digital enablement, promoting contactless, tokenisation and other digital‑first solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in payments or financial services sales at a senior level.
• Deep understanding of the payment market landscape from issuer and end‑user perspectives.
• Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships and cross‑functional collaborations.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in market analysis and reporting.
• Track record of achieving revenue, market‑share and spend targets.
