Deputy Manager - Sales, PU Footwear & Performance Materials

About the role

This position acts as the local key account manager for polyurethane (PU) footwear projects in Vietnam. You will implement the Value Chain hunting strategy, work closely with the Vietnam team to identify new PU opportunities, secure approvals, and serve as the primary contact to grow the PU business alongside global and regional key account teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Vietnam team to scout and develop new PU footwear projects with Taiwanese, Korean and Chinese transplants.
• Monitor market trends and customer sustainability goals, promoting sustainable PU materials.
• Drive top‑down initiatives such as BMB PU or recycled PU projects from customer headquarters.
• Own PU business KPIs and targets for Vietnam, building and managing relationships with key shoe factories.
• Partner with Asia key account teams (GKAM, RKAM, local managers) to expand PU business within the customer value chain.
• Provide market insights for the sportswear innovation pipeline and initiate projects to secure growth.
• Manage the execution of the PU footwear business pipeline and related innovation projects.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 5 years of sales, marketing or product development experience, preferably in the footwear industry.
• Strong knowledge of the footwear value chain, especially material development or manufacturing at Tier‑1/Tier‑2 factories.
• Experience working in cross‑regional teams.
• Effective communication in English and either Chinese or Korean.
