Area Sales Manager

About the role

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, is hiring an Area Sales Manager in Vung Tau, Vietnam. The role owns a defined territory and drives revenue, volume and margin targets through disciplined opportunity management.

Key responsibilities

• Own a defined territory and deliver revenue, volume and margin targets through disciplined opportunity management.
• Develop and execute account plans for top accounts, align stakeholders and set quarterly growth actions.
• Qualify, propose and negotiate customer agreements, using pricing frameworks and value selling to expand margin.
• Forecast monthly and quarterly results accurately and manage mix and capacity constraints proactively.
• Coordinate plant/site visits, product trials and technical consultations to speed up deal cycles.
• Work with Inside Sales, Customer Service and Supply Chain to ensure flawless execution.
• Use CRM to manage pipeline health, risk and coverage, keeping data complete and timely.
• Monitor and address service or quality issues, escalating and driving corrective actions across functions.
• Map buying centers and expand relationships beyond purchasing into operations and leadership.
• Champion safety and compliance in all customer engagements and internal activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
• Typically 4-8 years of experience.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated pricing and negotiation capability.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication with executive presence.
• Ability to analyze data to generate insights and action plans.
• Coaching and talent development, and leadership of operating cadence such as 1:1s, deal reviews and QBRs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM for pipeline, forecasting and account management.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality).
• Organized, disciplined approach to managing multiple priorities.
