AV Manager

About the role

Rixos Phu Quoc, a luxury beachfront resort in Vietnam, is looking for an AV Manager to lead all audio-visual operations. The role covers the setup, operation and maintenance of AV systems for events, shows, conferences and daily operations, working closely with Entertainment, Events and Operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee setup, configuration, operation and maintenance of AV equipment such as sound systems, microphones, projectors, LED screens, lighting, video conferencing tools and control desks
• Keep equipment functional and well maintained, and coordinate repairs and replacements
• Plan and manage AV setups for events, meetings, shows and entertainment programs, and provide on-site technical support and real-time troubleshooting
• Manage sound checks, stage setups, lighting programming, DMX addressing, wireless frequencies and artist technical riders
• Lead, train and supervise the AV Supervisor and Technicians, schedule staff, conduct performance reviews and coaching
• Manage AV inventory, usage records and maintenance schedules, and prepare and control the department budget including CAPEX and maintenance costs
• Source, evaluate and manage vendors and negotiate contracts
• Stay current with AV technology and recommend upgrades and workflow improvements
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, the Operational Standards Manual and ISO Integrated Management Systems, and implement safety protocols for AV equipment
• Work with Entertainment, Events and Operations teams and stay aware of hotel facilities, evening programs and show schedules

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Information Technology, Event Management or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in AV management or a similar role
• Strong working proficiency in English
• Proactive leader with integrity, able to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment
