Bare Developer – C & JavaScript (Remote)

About the role
We are looking for a Bare Developer who is equally comfortable writing C and JavaScript. The role is fully remote and part of Tether’s Bare team, responsible for building and maintaining the runtime and its ecosystem of native modules.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and ship native modules such as bare‑bluetooth, bare‑tcp, bare‑fs, and bare‑crypto.
- Write native addons that bridge platform APIs into JavaScript.
- Debug across multiple operating systems, including phones, laptops, servers and constrained devices.
- Maintain a small, correct runtime and ensure high performance.
- Own modules end‑to‑end from concept to production.
Required profile
- Strong proficiency in both C and JavaScript.
- Experience with systems programming and native addon development.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Excellent English communication skills.
