Director of Finance - Luxury Resort

About the role

Rixos Hotels is looking for an experienced, commercially driven Director of Finance to join the Executive Leadership Team at Rixos Phu Quoc, a luxury all-inclusive resort in Vietnam. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director leads financial planning, reporting, compliance and commercial decision support through the pre-opening and operational phases, partnering with ownership, corporate teams and operational leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual operating budget, financial forecasts, capital planning and working capital needs; manage cash flow projections and liquidity.
• Analyse performance against budget and prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts for corporate teams and ownership.
• Keep financial processes, accounting practices and internal controls aligned with Rixos policies, corporate standards and local law, and oversee purchasing controls, payroll, accounts payable, expense management and revenue assurance.
• Ensure timely statutory reporting, tax submissions and compliance with the Hotel Management Agreement and contractual obligations.
• Report regularly to the Regional Finance Office on pre-opening milestones, operational readiness and financial performance.
• Work with department heads on revenue optimisation, cost efficiency and financial accountability, and run regular departmental financial reviews.
• Oversee credit management, credit reviews and risk assessments, and maintain inventory controls, stock audits, variance analysis and fixed asset verification.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance and Accounting team, set standards of accountability and support talent development and succession planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Director of Finance in an international luxury hotel, resort or large-scale hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of hospitality finance operations, including pre-opening and hotel management agreements.
• Understanding of local financial reporting, taxation and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing relationships with hotel owners, investors and international corporate finance teams.
• Strong commercial mindset, leadership, communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Experience in luxury, lifestyle or all-inclusive resort environments is highly advantageous.
