Research Analyst, Vietnam Equities

About the role

CITIC CLSA is looking for experienced Vietnam equity analysts to lead coverage of Vietnamese-listed companies and generate high-conviction investment ideas for institutional investors. The successful candidate combines deep market knowledge, strong analytical skills and sound investment judgment, working closely with company management teams and global institutional investors. A proven track record covering Vietnam-listed stocks as a publishing analyst is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Lead coverage of selected Vietnamese-listed companies and sectors
• Publish actionable research and stock recommendations for institutional investors
• Identify investment opportunities from industry, company and market developments
• Build and maintain financial models, valuations and industry databases
• Track earnings, company news, policy changes and macro developments
• Present investment ideas to institutional clients
• Develop relationships through meetings, roadshows, conferences and client calls
• Partner with sales and trading teams to support client engagement
• Contribute to thematic and cross-sector research initiatives
• Support investor events, corporate access and marketing activities
• Communicate investment views clearly to clients and colleagues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance or a related discipline
• Proven experience as a publishing analyst covering Vietnam-listed equities
• Deep knowledge of Vietnam's equity market, companies and investment landscape
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Confidence engaging with corporate management teams and institutional investors
• Fluent in English; Vietnamese is advantageous for reviewing primary source market information
