Embedded Software Test Lead – Occupant Safety Systems

About the role

The Embedded Software Test Lead will head the testing effort for occupant safety systems within Bosch's automotive projects. You will coordinate a team of 10‑15 engineers, ensuring that test activities are aligned with software development and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the project test strategy and test plan, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Assign test activities to designers and ensure testing progresses alongside software development.
• Develop high‑level test designs, test specifications, and detailed test cases.
• Set up and manage test environments such as Software‑in‑Loop (SIL) and Hardware‑in‑Loop (HIL).
• Drive test automation development and oversee regression test selection.
• Coach team members on quality aspects and mentor junior engineers.
• Track task progress, estimate effort, and report results and issues to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical‑Electronics or related field.
• Experience leading test activities on multi‑automotive projects, preferably in vehicle safety systems.
• Strong analytical skills for requirement clarification and test case creation.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
