Embedded System Test Coordinator – Automotive Safety

About the role

The Embedded System Test Coordinator will lead testing activities for occupant safety systems across multiple automotive projects. You will develop test strategies, manage resources, and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate project test strategies and plans aligned with organizational standards.
• Define test activities, success criteria, and assign responsibilities with clear deliverables and timelines.
• Integrate testing activities across all software development phases, synchronising with development schedules.
• Analyse requirements to guarantee comprehensive test coverage and traceability.
• Design and develop test cases, specifications, and high‑level test designs.
• Establish and manage test environments, including Software‑in‑Loop (SIL) and Hardware‑in‑Loop (HIL) configurations.
• Develop and implement test automation solutions to improve efficiency.
• Execute test cases, document results, and generate detailed defect reports.
• Select relevant test cases for regression testing to optimise coverage and resource use.
• Conduct technical reviews of test specifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in testing embedded systems for automotive occupant safety.
• Ability to lead test projects and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
