Lead Logistics - Document Expert

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Lead Logistics Document Expert to handle export and import documentation and carrier bills of lading. The role involves coordinating with vendors, carriers, customers and internal teams to ensure documents are submitted accurately and on time, keeping cargo release and clearance on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Export documentation: collect, follow readiness and validate shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Certificate of Origin, ensuring compliance with IOP and SOP requirements and defined KPIs.
• Import documentation: receive and verify import documents according to customs and regulatory requirements, coordinate with customs brokers and carriers, and keep shipment status up to date.
• Carrier documentation: manage operations for assigned customers, validate Carrier Bills of Lading (FCR/HBL) against the system, and coordinate with Customer Service and the system team for timely issuance.
• Follow up on document revisions, coordinate with internal and external teams, and track stakeholder performance to protect data quality, customer satisfaction and cost control.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or a related field.
• At least 6 months of internship experience in logistics and shipping, or export-import document experience; fresh graduates with relevant internships will be considered.
• Good command of written and spoken English; Thai, Khmer or Burmese is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, hardworking, proactive and able to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of shipping documentation, Incoterms and basic customs procedures.
• Influential Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Power BI and understanding of automation applications are a plus.
