Supply Chain Specialist - 4PL Booking Management Agent

About the role

Maersk is looking for a 4PL Booking Management Agent to manage and coordinate end-to-end export booking operations for its customers. The role ensures accurate forecasting, optimal booking planning with carriers and on-time container movements, acting as a key coordinator between customers, carriers, brokers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export bookings with nominated carriers in line with customer forecasts and shipment plans, and verify and share booking confirmations with customers and trucking vendors.
• Handle spot-buy or spot-rate requests to secure space for urgent shipments, and track shipment milestones.
• Consolidate customer demand forecasts into weekly and monthly booking plans, anticipate peak volumes and vessel capacity shortages, and coordinate with carriers to secure space.
• Analyze historical shipment data to improve forecast accuracy and optimize container utilization, routing and carrier allocation.
• Monitor and evaluate 2PL/3PL partner performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, space utilization and schedule adherence, and resolve carrier issues such as pick-up delays and space shortages.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for customers, handle inquiries and exceptions, and take part in regular review meetings with customers.
• Prepare operational and performance reports, ensure compliance with customer SOPs and internal procedures, and support cross-sell and customer retention.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in booking operations, export planning, carrier management or 4PL environments.
• Strong understanding of carrier booking processes, space allocation, vessel schedules and export logistics flow.
• Proven experience in forecast management, volume planning and capacity control.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
