Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Automotive (Airbag)

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join its Airbag product team in Ho Chi Minh City. You will be responsible for designing and delivering safety‑critical software components that help save lives.

Key responsibilities

• Create static and dynamic software architecture models for the Airbag ECU.
• Monitor and report software quality metrics throughout the development lifecycle.
• Prepare and participate in the Software Change Control Board.
• Define and manage software configuration variants.
• Analyse defect root causes, assess impact, and document findings.
• Implement functionality according to detailed design specifications while meeting micro‑controller resource targets (runtime, memory).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Vietnam, India, Germany and the customer in Japan.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years experience as an embedded software developer.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or Telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of C programming and micro‑controller/embedded systems.
• Familiarity with V‑model engineering processes (requirements, change, configuration management, peer review).
• Experience with software architecture and design concepts.
• Exposure to test methodology and ECU test environments.
• Good teamwork, analytical thinking and ability to work in an Agile environment.
