Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Automotive

About the role

Bosch Group is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop safety‑critical software for airbag systems. You will design architecture, guide a multinational development team, and ensure the software meets stringent automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create static and dynamic software architecture design models.
• Monitor and report software quality metrics.
• Prepare and lead Software Change Control Board activities.
• Develop software configuration variants.
• Analyze defect root causes and assess impact.
• Document designs and implement functionality according to specifications.
• Manage microcontroller resource targets (runtime, memory).
• Collaborate with teams in Vietnam, India, Germany and customers in Japan throughout the product life‑cycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as an embedded developer.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or Telecommunication.
• Strong C programming skills and solid knowledge of microcontrollers/embedded systems.
• Good understanding of requirements, change, configuration management and V‑model processes.
• Knowledge of software architecture and design.
• Exposure to test methodology and ECU test environments.
• Effective teamwork, analytical thinking and good interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• Experience with CAN and UDS protocols is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
