Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Automotive Powertrain

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join its EPC department, part of the Automotive Powertrain Solution domain. You will work on engine and vehicle control units, contributing to performance, efficiency, emissions, diagnostics and communication features.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement engineering activities: elicit, decompose, allocate, perform impact analysis and ensure compliance with emission, safety and security standards.
• Design and develop embedded software using model‑based development, configure and integrate components, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct static and dynamic testing from system level down to component level using HiL/SiL environments, including system integration and component analysis.
• Manage baseline and variant data to guarantee traceability between requirements, work products and test reports.
• Identify, analyse and resolve anomalies discovered during testing, and report status to the project manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in embedded software/system development, with strong HW‑SW interface knowledge.
• Familiarity with V‑Model or Agile/Kanban processes in an automotive context.

Required skills

• Embedded C programming (clean, structured, well‑documented code).
• Python and Perl for data processing (e.g., Pandas) and scripting.
• Experience with HiL environments, automation test tools, and model‑based development (SiL).
• Version control and CI/CD tools: Git, Git Actions, Jenkins.
• Automotive standards: AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, CyberSecurity, CAN, LIN, UDS, OBD, ASPICE.
• Additional knowledge of C#.NET and AI research is a plus.
