AV Supervisor (Vietnamese Local Only)

About the role

Rixos Phu Quoc, a luxury beachfront resort on Phu Quoc Island belonging to the Rixos Hotels & Resorts group, is looking for an AV Supervisor. The role covers sound and lighting equipment, team supervision and coordination of AV setups for events, meetings and shows. The position is open to Vietnamese local candidates only.

Key responsibilities

• Keep all sound and lighting equipment clean, maintained and operational, and set up, operate and troubleshoot projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, lighting consoles, mixers, CD players, sound processors and projection systems.
• Provide live technical support during events, shows and meetings, and manage sound checks, stage setups and technical riders for performers.
• Supervise the AV team, assign duties, monitor performance and prepare weekly shift schedules for the Sound & Lighting sub-department.
• Train AV technicians on equipment use, safety procedures and maintenance standards.
• Work with event organizers, Entertainment and Recreation teams to plan AV setups and ensure delivery matches show concepts, timings and quality standards.
• Take full responsibility for Sound & Lighting equipment, maintain inventory records and maintenance schedules, and manage truss construction, DMX addressing, lighting desks, splitters, wireless microphone frequencies and show programming.
• Prepare and manage the AV department budget, keep records of equipment usage and maintenance, and develop and enforce department policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on new AV technologies and introduce improvements where applicable.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical, Audio-Visual or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar AV supervisory or senior technician role.
• Good communication skills in English.
