AV Technician

About the role

Rixos Phu Quoc, a luxury beachfront resort in Vietnam, is looking for an AV Technician to join its Audio-Visual team. The technician sets up, operates, maintains and troubleshoots audio-visual equipment so that events, shows and daily operations run smoothly, working with internal teams, performers and event organisers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, set up, test and operate projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting, video monitors, cameras and video conferencing systems
• Run AV systems during live events, shows, meetings and presentations, managing live audio mixing, video switching and lighting control
• Maintain equipment, perform routine inspections and repair faults or arrange external repairs
• Support event organisers, presenters, performers and bands with sound checks and stage setup according to technical riders
• Keep records of AV inventory, maintenance schedules and repair logs, and document setups and procedures
• Work with event coordinators, IT teams and other departments, and keep AV areas clean, safe and organised
• Follow Rixos policies, ISO Integrated Management System requirements and quality, safety and environmental initiatives

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or Audio-Visual Technology
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar AV role
• Experience in hospitality or events is an advantage
• Good English communication skills
• Team player able to work independently and under pressure during live events
