Industry Manager - Food & Beverage Ingredients

About the role

Brenntag is looking for an Industry Manager in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The manager is responsible for the bottom line of his business area, making sure that an effective marketing plan and an efficient sales team deliver the organisation's targets. He also manages his own industry area, including staff development, good staff relations and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve optimum turnover and profit according to the agreed budget and RBT (result before tax).
• Maintain close relationships with strategic customers and suppliers, and anticipate market trends such as prices, demand, supply and competition, reporting to the General Manager.
• Develop and implement product marketing policies and procedures with the sales teams, and identify market potential for new business.
• Plan and establish sales strategies within the sales budget and the strategic plan, while minimising fixed and production costs.
• Monitor actual sales performance, stock position and debtors against budget.
• Lead, train, motivate and coach all staff, giving regular on-the-job training.
• Manage the interface between the sales team, customer service, the Thailand Logistics Center and suppliers to ensure timely product delivery.
• Keep staff informed of company policy and activities, and hold regular sales meetings.

Required profile

• At least 10 years' experience selling food and beverage ingredients.
• 5 years of managerial experience in an international environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry or a chemical-related major; a Master's in Marketing or Business Administration is an advantage.
